In Which I Threaten Yarn
Way back in October 2006, I knit a scarf. Three balls of Katia Mexico in a 2×2 rib. Upon finishing the knitting, instead of weaving in the ends (of which there were only six), I chose to ignore it for a billion years. I finally got around to weaving in the ends of the Rainbow Ribbed Scarf last month.

The background is white because I am standing in front of a snowbank. The snowbank is gigantic. So far I hate the March weather as much as I hated the February, January, December, and November weather.
Dear Ball of Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran,
I know you are in my stash. My stash may be unreasonably large for someone who knits as slowly as I do and who has as little storage space as I do, but face it, it is not that big. You should not be able to hide in it. This cannot possibly go on for much longer. Mark my words, I will track you down eventually. You can run, but you can’t hide. I know you are in there, and I would advise you to come out with your woolly little hands up.
On the plus side, I did just clean my room in case you were somewhere under the mess, so you have done at least some good in the world.

Yarn can run but it can’t hide forever!
At least, I have to keep telling myself that, because I’m currently missing two balls of some mohair blend yarn I’m knitting a scarf from. I know I had them last week…
And I love the colours in that scarf. So vibrant!

Fabulously bright scarf. Love it.
Balls of yarn have minds of their own. Sadly, they cannot hide forever.

The scarf is lovely. And worth sewing in all six ends! Good luck with your yarn hunt. Maybe you need to entice it to come out by playing hard-to-get with another project.
