One Morning in Maine

Last weekend I went to Bangor with my family. On Monday morning, I took the Road Potato Sock to look at Stephen King’s house.

One nice thing about my parents is that when I get out of the car to take pictures, they point out that I still have my knitting with me, and I say that the sock has to be in a picture, and they’re just like, “Oh.” It is easier to take pictures of House and Sock separately, though.

I am going to have to start the heel of the Road Potato Sock very soon. Let’s not think about that.

I was distressed to see that City Side Yarn Company had closed. My parents didn’t want to drive into Orono to check out Fiberphilia, and it was probably closed during the time that we were in the area, anyway. But they bought me cross stitch kits (Rivalry, Seashell Treasures, Nemo, and Love Bug) at Wal-Mart and A. C. Moore, so yay. And some books, and Namco Museum Advance for my GBA, so now I can play Galaga anywhere I please. Sweet.

I haven’t knit on my socks for over a week now. I really need to get back to them, or they’ll never get finished!

I totally want a house *exactly* like Stephen King’s. Awesome!

His fence is also awesome, with the bat-shaped ornamentation on it, but you can’t see it very well at all in these pics.

Also, my verification words for this comment are:

and I think that is kind of cool.
