Don’t Look Gift Yarn in the Mouth
Apparently all the job interview preparation worked somewhat, because instead of being unemployed, I am now underemployed. In all seriousness, although I haven’t started my new part time job yet, I expect to enjoy it.
Tomorrow is my birthday, and I received some birthday yarn. I’m not one to look gift yarn in the mouth, but what exactly does one do with yarn like this?

It’s Phentex Fashion One in Harvest. If I have to have a knockoff of Patons Ci Ci, I’d prefer for it to be a knockoff of the pretty Parade colour rather than the icky Amazon colour, but beggars can’t be choosers.
Despite not having much in the way of free time lately, I have made a little bit of progress on Live Simply.

The bottom only looks uneven because I took the photo outside and the wind was ruffling the fabric. Is it ever not windy here? Geez.

Hurrah for new jobs! They’re always good to have around. :p
That current cross-stitch project makes me think of Katamari Damacy for some reason.

Happy new job!
Um, wow. Happy Birthday. Lemme guess, you would have preferred silk/wool/bamboo/soy/cotton?
I’m thinking crazy mittens…

Once again, I was deleting spam comments and accidentally deleted a comment posted by a real human. This one was from Sara, and it started out:
“oh um hmm re that yarn, I think it’d be fun just to play with it and see what it …”
It continued by advising me to see what the yarn wanted to become, maybe a hat or a funky bag, and she promised that she would post Disney World pics on her blog after her trip. I am very much looking forward to Disney World pics.
