We Can’t All, and Some of Us Don’t

There are a couple of scarves that I finished actually knitting ages ago (seriously, one I finished in October) but I think they could use some light blocking before I consider them ready to wear or to photograph. I hope to get around to that this weekend, but in the meantime, here is some pretty yarn, Twilleys Freedom Spirit, one ball in the Energy colourway and two balls in Earth.

I acquired these guys at Moraff’s in Sydney, Nova Scotia. Their future will probably involve a hat or two. Ria, I don’t think there’s any at Cricket Cove here, but if you are in Fredericton any time soon, I saw some Freedom Spirit at the Singer store when I was there in January. I also quite like the Water colourway, which obviously is made up of blues.

I started a second cross stitch project on Wednesday, a tiny Eeyore kit from Janlynn. It’s coming along well, although it was a bit tough to go from 11-count Aida directly to 18-count Aida.

This is one of those weird instances where imperfections that are obvious in the photo go unnoticed in real life. The real project is looking pretty good, and I’m hoping that by the time I’m finished stitching it, I will also have learned how to take a decent picture of it.

Oops, I accidentally deleted Ria’s comment on this post because I suck. It started out: “Oh man, I want that Energy colourway! I’m going to have to take a trip to Fredericton after my self-imposed”

But the rest of it is irretrievable. One can surmise, however, that the next few words had something to do with her participation in Knit from Your Stash 2007.
