In Which There Is No Such Thing as Natural Light

I know that one is supposed to take pictures in natural light whenever possible, but it hasn’t been so possible lately. Even when it isn’t actually raining, the sky seems to be thinking about it. So my photos don’t have the most accurate colour possible, and also feature my shadow looming over the scarf like some sort of vague, blurry monster, but they are the best photos I have of the Stripey Scarf at this point in time. It kind of looks like this scarf at Not Martha, but then again it kind of doesn’t.

Notice how I tried to artfully arrange the scarf so that you can’t see the wrong side of it. Notice how that didn’t work. Oh, the “can’t see the wrong side of it” part worked well; it was the “artful” part that didn’t.

Stripey Scarf taught me that weaving in forty-two ends is very boring and should not be attempted anywhere but in front of the television.

I am now knitting a sunglasses case, which is stupid as I don’t wear sunglasses, but at least it’s something I can do quickly. Although I do know that publicly stating that it will be done quickly vastly increases the likelihood that, a couple weeks from now, I will be all shifty-eyed and saying, “Sunglasses case? What sunglasses case? I don’t remember any sunglasses case.”
